A Historic First for India in Professional Hand-to-Hand Fighting

SAVAR BASARIMARAD Represents India in R1 Professional Event

The Hand-to-Hand Fighting Sport Federation of India (HSFI) proudly announces a landmark moment for the nation: For the first time in Indian history, an Indian fighter—Mr. Savar Basarimarad—represented India in the R1 Hand-to-Hand Fighting Professional Event.

Stepping into the international R1 Professional Arena, Mr. Savar Basarimarad displayed remarkable strength, courage, and resilience. He fought through all three rounds with unwavering determination — and most importantly, he was not knocked out.

This achievement represents a major breakthrough for India, marking the first professional-level appearance of an Indian athlete on this global combat sports platform. Savar’s fearless performance has opened a new gateway for the future of Indian fighters and laid the foundation for the nation’s long-term mission:

to one day bring an International Championship Title Belt home to India.

More Than Winning — It’s About Making History

In professional combat sports, the true spirit is not only measured by victories, but by endurance, courage, and heart inside the arena.
Savar Basarimarad proved all of these.

His performance showed the world that:

  • India is ready to stand on the global stage,

  • our fighters have the heart to endure, and

  • we will continue advancing toward international excellence.

Winning or losing does not define this milestone —
standing strong for all three rounds with fearless intent defines it.

Special Appreciation

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Coach Mr. Amit Pandey for his invaluable mentorship and continuous guidance in preparing Mr. Savar Basarimarad for this historic challenge. His support played a crucial role in shaping India’s first step toward international professional recognition.

A New Beginning for India

This achievement will inspire upcoming fighters across the nation and strengthen India’s journey toward becoming a recognized force in the global professional fighting circuit.

With dedication, discipline, and national pride, we move forward — step by step — toward international glory.
